I first caught “Everything Everything” at Manchester’s Night and Day Cafe in 2009, performing at an NME showcase and safe to say I was highly impressed.
They subsequently signed with the now defunct UK branch of Geffen Records and released their astonishing debut “Man Alive” in 2010 to great critical acclaim and to my absolute drooling-muso adulation.
I have since seen them 13 times.
I am well aware that is pretty lame, but in my defence, they seem to have all the best bits about Radiohead but with an added frenetic, polyrhythmic, ADHD-riddled party-popping twist. (#journalism)
I’ll spare the additional adjective fest for now, because it could escalate rather quickly.
This is a band of superlatives and basically their new single “Cough Cough” is really very good.
It’s released under newly re-established Sony subsidiary, RCA Victor, on October 14th.
Have a look at the self-directed video here.
*Excuse the tabloid headline, It’s not technically out until the Autumn I know.
